eLABS: TELCORDIA TRANSFORMS PC INTO VIRTUAL TRAINING LAB

LISLE, ILL. - June 10, 2002 - Students of telecommunications can now immerse themselves in an instructor-led training session, then move into the lab for exposure to practical application -- and accomplish all of it with a CD called eLabs. This skills-based training in the form of e-learning from Telcordia covers two new courses on Digital Signal Level and 3 (DS1 and DS3) testing.

eLabs transforms the student's PC into a high-tech, virtual classroom and lab open for learning all the time. Through a blend of classroom lectures and lab equipment demonstrations, eLabs delivers job-critical, skills-based training in an easy-to-access, self-paced, interactive format. The DS1 - Testing course addresses the concepts of high-capability digital services operating at the DS1 rate of 1.544 Mbps. The DS3 - Testing course addresses DS3 facilities, services, and testing procedures that support DS3 circuits.
